Since joining the UK side of the company in 2017, Lydia has led Little Pearls through substantial growth and development, including a major expansion in 2025 to meet demand for additional places. She is passionate about creating exceptional learning environments where children flourish, families feel supported and educators are empowered to achieve their full potential.

A visit to a US school in 2024 inspired Lydia to explore how she could bring a different approach to early education and care to American families. Through conversations with local parents, she discovered an appetite for the nurturing, individual approach she knew could make a positive difference to children’s lives. In 2025, she applied for a visa, and in 2026, she and her family moved across the Atlantic to bring her vision for Little Poppins Learning Academy to life.
Lydia is a strong advocate for reflective practice and continuous improvement, believing there is always an opportunity to learn, innovate and strengthen the experiences provided for children and families. She is particularly passionate about developing her team, recognizing that investing in educators helps create the best possible experiences for children.
She continues to oversee the strategic direction of Little Pearls in the UK while dedicating most of her time to education and quality at Little Poppins in the US. Drawing on England’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and her extensive experience, she is shaping a curriculum that places children’s development, curiosity and wellbeing at its heart.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, keeping active and making the most of Florida’s weather and activities. On weekends, you will often find them exploring somewhere new, trying new things or supporting local businesses – usually with a coffee and a slice of cake along the way.
